Content Plan: Fire and Forget (Rice Cooker & Steamer)

Video Overview

The goal is to demonstrate the ultimate "low-effort, high-reward" WFPB meal. We are focusing on the rice cooker as the hero tool to remove "kitchen anxiety" for our Sunnies.

Jennys "Encouraging Teacher" Moments

  • The "No-Burn" Promise: Explain why the rice cooker is a best friend for beginners (no scorched pots!).
  • The Frozen Veggie Win: Validate that frozen veggies are just as nutritious and a total time-saver.
  • The "Choose Your Adventure" Sauces: Present the DIY sauces as an "extra credit" fun activity, but keep the store-bought option as a totally valid "no-judgment" backup.

Shot List & Sequence

Phase 1: The Setup (The "Fire")

  • The Hero Hook: Jenny intro—bright, encouraging, holding a bag of frozen veggies. "You don't need to stand over a stove to eat well tonight."
  • The Foundation: Close-up of rinsed rice and water/broth going into the inner pot.
  • The Steamer Layer: Top-down shot of the steamer basket being placed on top and filled with frozen veggies.
  • The Click: Close-up of Jennys finger pressing the "Cook" button. The "Forget" starts now.

Phase 2: The "Extra Credit" (Sauce Prep)

  • Peanut Sauce Assembly: Quick-cut whisking of PB, soy sauce, maple syrup, and lime.
  • Quick BBQ Assembly: Whisking tomato paste, maple syrup, ACV, and smoked paprika.
  • The "No-Judgment" Alternative: Jenny smiling while holding a store-bought WFPB sauce bottle for those extra busy days.

Phase 3: The Reveal (The "Forget" payoff)

  • The Steam Shot: Macro shot of the lid opening. Let the steam clear to reveal vibrant veggies.
  • The Fluff: Using a wooden paddle or fork to fluff the rice underneath.
  • The Drizzle: Slow-motion pour of the peanut sauce over a bowl of the rice and veggies.
  • The Taste Test: Jenny taking a bite, looking genuinely relieved at how easy it was.

Technical Notes for Travis

  • Audio: Capture the "click" of the rice cooker button and the "bubble" sounds if possible for ASMR elements.
  • YouTube Edit: Focus on the contrast between the "active" 2 minutes of prep and the "passive" cooking time.
  • Instagram Reel: Use a "transition" cut from the raw rice/frozen veggies directly to the steamed, sauced bowl.
